Spotlight: The Sea Gypsies

June 26, 2017

 Artist: The Sea Gypsies

Genre: Indie rock

For Fans Of: Powerfinger, The Arctic Monkeys

The Sea Gypsies have been making some noise with their genre blending indie rock ever since their first EP release in 2016. Their unique and satisfying mixture of different genres, seamlessly blended to create an interesting sound that captures your attention and keeps it, has seen them forge their own path in the Australia music scene.

Release their 5 track EP Embrace The Way in 2016, they quickly garnered attention for their seductive sound, with their captivating vocals and enchanting guitar riffs entrancing audiences from the get go. Following on from this success, the 5 piece kept up the momentum, releasing hit single 'Lost And Found' to high praise and high plays. Now, continuing to release high quality music, they've released new single 'Demons'. The track is an alluring, toe tapping and very memorable song, moving along at its own dreamy pace. In short, the band will grab your attention and hold you in the palm of their hand with ease.

On 'Demons' the band explains "Demons was written to express the relatable feeling of facing one's fears and the rigorous moments in life that attempt to overcome you and pull you down. We created this song to shine awareness on mental health issues and those people who are suffering quietly. We hear you."
