The Playbook Release New Single & Will Be Touring Soon

Melbourne five-piece pop punk outfit, The Playbook, have released a new single from their upcoming album, All I Am Is What You Left Behind, slated for a 2017 release. The track, ‘Reach’, is a fast, driving, and energetic song which explores losing touch with someone you thought you could never live without, despite making every effort to continue the relationship you thought was so important. Adding to the excitement of the single (and inevitable video), the band will be hitting the road a number of times before the end of the year from July onwards, taking their energetic stage presence and strong crowd involvement to their fans. With an impressive resume of supporting international heavyweights such as Real Friends, The Story So Far and Man overboard, as well as a successful run of headline shows around Australia, they’re sure to show exactly why they’ve gathered such a devoted fanbase with their talent and hardworking ethic. The new album, which has been in the works for 2 years, centres around the concept of loss, such as losing friends or lovers, and the struggle to deal with their absence. The band have had a DIY approach with these, with drummer Stu Watts producing, recording and mixing the entire album. Mastered by Jason Livermore, the legendary punk rock engineer from The Blasting Room, who has worked with Descendents, Rise Against, and A Wilhelm Scream, amongst others, the quality of the album is sure to be high. Reach is out this Friday on Bandcamp, and right now on iTunes and Spotify You can find more information about the Reach Single Tour at facebook.com/theplaybookpoppunk Check out the track here.
