Sydney Rock 'n' Roll Alternative Markets Have Returned
Sydney Rock 'n' Roll Alternative Markets are back on, and with the great line-up of entertainment and stalls, July 30 will be sure to warm up your winter, with thousands of vinyl and unique goods available. On top of that, there will be a massive electrifying entertainment line-up, featuring Dallas Frasca (Melbourne), Frank Sultana & the Sinister Kids, The Satellites (SA) and The Hellcat III, plus DJs.
The markets will also be running a great dress up competition, with prizes being up for grabs for those who rock up as their favourite music idol or movie star. Hosted by Miss Goldy Sparkles, the competition will be open to adults and kids.
With stalls including fashion galore, rock ‘n’ roll, alternative, vintage, handmade and unique clothing for men, women and children, jewellery, accessories, cult DVDs, artwork, homewares, collectables and more, plus over 50,000 LPs, 45s and CDs covering rock, punk, metal, rockabilly, blues, jazz, country, reggae, club, hip hop and every other genre since the dawn of rock ‘n’ roll. The Record Fair is presented by Revolve Records (Erskineville) and Egg Records (Newtown). You’ll also find a café, bars, international food, giant kids’ games, classic and vintage vehicle display plus more.
There will also be a 50's Rock N Roll Dancing Beginners Class at the market between 10.30 am and 11.30am for $11 per class, which includes entry to the market. You don't need a dance partner, just plenty of energy and your best dancing shoes. Email Bruce at email@example.com to register for the class.
Entry to the Sydney Rock 'n' Roll & Alternative Market is $6, with kids under 12 FREE.
