Fierce Mild Release Genre Wandering New Single
They've made a name for themselves with their genre-wandering style, taking inspiration from an endless list of musical sources, and now the cinematic art rock group, Fierce Mild, have given us another unique track, 'Daesin'.
The tracks name, Dasein, is named after the fundamental concept in the existential philosphy of Martin Heidgger's Being and Time. It can be loosely translated as 'existence'. The track is the first in a trilogy from the bands forthcoming album, which each song providing a different moment of contemplation and pause.
The six pieces' wide ranging influences have never been clearer than in this new track, where rock meets electronica, with an eerie ambient, poetic undertone. From legends such as Zeppelin and Floyd, to present day musicians such as Alt J, Radiohead and Warpaint, their influence can be heard on this new offering from the Melbourne band.
You can check the track out here, before it hits Spotify and iTunes on Friday 21st of July.
