Mercury Sky Announce EP, Release New Single

Sydney progressive rock band Mercury Sky are back with new music, releasing the single 'Nausea' ahead of their forthcoming Infra EP. The EP will be released September 22nd, with the first single becoming available to purchasers next Monday, when the EP goes live for pre-order on iTunes.

The band will also be hitting the road on tour straight after the EP's release, hitting Gosford, Newcastle, Wollongong, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane from Septmeber to November.

The new single 'Nausea' summarises the bands intentions in creating a piece of work that is more diverse and more intense than they have done before. The lyrical content tackles the principles of existentialism as implied by an observer who begins keeping a journal in an attempt to alleviate the feelings they're experiencing and their self-described 'nausea'. As a result, they find themselves voraciously contemplating every aspect of their relevance and consequences of their presence as well as the alleged construct that is their existence to alleviate the feeling. Loosely based off the Sartre novel of the same name, it serves as an interpretation that many may be able to relate to in simply feeling overwhelmed by or lost in feelings.

Infra will be available Friday September 22. You can pre-order the EP on iTunes as of Monday August 14 with Nausea immediately available as a grat track.

The single will also be available in Spotify from Friday.
