Trophy Eyes have dropped the third single taken from their upcoming album American Dream, out August 3rd. The single, entitled 'Friday Forever', comes with a video, which you can check out below.
The American Dream, which has already given us singles 'You Can Count On Me' and 'More Like You', is based around the idea that there's still Utopia left on this planet, as well as serving as a vehicle for vocalist John Floereani to take an introspective look at who he is today. The album is made that much better with the addition of string arrangements produced by Chris Craker, who can include the soundtrack to Hanz Simmer's score of 'Interstellar' and 'The Classics' on his resume.
“This record is about my life in present time and a reflection on who I was and how I got here,” Floreani explains. “As much of the other Trophy Eyes works have been the hate, violence, addiction and heartbreak I fought so desperately to leave behind, this record is about shedding one’s past, transitioning from boy to man, making a home and wanting nothing more in life than to sit and enjoy the silence.”
The American Dream is available now for pre-order. It will be out August 3rd via Hopeless Records/UNFD. You can catch them on tour this October (details below).
