US psychedelic trio Khruangbin have announced they'll be playing their first ever Australian tour dates in 2019, hitting Melbourne's The Croxton Bandroom on Wednesday 13 March, Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Friday 15 March, and Brisbane’s The Zoo on Saturday 16 March. The band will also perform at WOMADelaide, A Festival Called Panama and Golden Plains festivals.
The Texan band have brought their Thai-funk-inspired surf rock to sellout UK, European, and North American tours, as well as recently releasing their sophomore album Con Todo El Mundo at the start of 2018.
Khruangbin is built from a wide range of influences, from the 1960’s funk scene in Thailand, Persian rock music, and 1980’s Algerian symphonia, with a dash of disco, soul, and Balearic music.
Tickets will go on sale 10am local time this Friday 26 October.
